  Çamlıca Hill, consisting of two small and large hills, is known as the highest point of Istanbul. The big hill is 268 meters above sea level. When you climb this hill, you can see all of Istanbul, the Islands, the Sea of ​​Marmara, the Black Sea and the Golden Horn. Also, Çamlıca Mosque, which is the largest mosque in Turkey, is located here. There are also facilities where you can enjoy the view on Camlica Hill.

Where is Camlica Hill? How to go?

  Çamlıca Hill is located in Üsküdar district of Istanbul.

It is possible to reach Camlica Hill by your private vehicle. There are parking areas around Çamlıca Hill for those who want to come by private car. If you want to come by Metrobus, you can reach Çamlıca Hill by minibuses that get off at Altunizade stop and depart from here. If you are in Üsküdar and want to stop by Çamlıca Hill while you are here, you can use the public buses 552, 13, 11ÜS, 9ÜD, 14R, 14Y, 129T to get off at Çamlıca and walk a little to the Hill.

What are the activities that you can be done on Çamlıca Hill?

  Çamlıca Hill has two hills that can be visited and taken great photos. You can walk in here. On the one hand, the view of the Bosphorus, Istanbul and the Golden Horn, on the other hand, the chirping of birds in the forest fascinates visitors. Especially in autumn, there are people who come from many places to watch and observe the birds. Apart from hiking, there are many places you can visit.

  Küçük Çamlıca Hill is located at an altitude of 230 meters from the sea. Here you can find Küçük Çamlıca Grove, Sofa Mansions, Cihannüma and Topkapı Mansions. There are restaurants and cafes in the mansions. The mansions are open from 9 am to 11 pm.

  Büyük Çamlıca Hill is located at an altitude of 268 meters from the sea. There are Nurbaba Lodge, Camlica Tower, Camlica Hill Mosque, restaurants and social facilities. You can take a break from your tour in the social facilities and relax with the fascinating view. Although there are various foods and drinks in the facility.  Don’t forget to eat roasted corn, warm chestnuts in winter, and ice cream in summer. The food that you eat will taste more delicious under the influence of Çamlıca Hill. 

  Çamlıca Tower, a TV-radio tower, was established to eliminate the use of antennas on Büyük Çamlıca Hill and to improve the level of broadcasting in the country. It is 587 meters above sea level. The 4 floors of the Camlica Tower, which consists of 49 floors, are underground. In addition, the tower has a 360 viewing terrace, a restaurant and places to buy souvenirs.

  The largest mosque in Turkey is the Camlica Hill Mosque, located on the Camlica Hill. The mosque can accommodate 37 thousand 500 people. The mosque, whose construction started in 2013, has 6 minarets and can be seen from all over Istanbul.

Fee of Çamlıca Hill and Visiting Hours:

  Visits to Camlica Hill are free of charge. Fees are only paid in restaurants and shopping places inside.

  Çamlıca Hill is open to visitors 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, the cafes and places to visit inside are open between 9 am to 11 pm.
