  Emirgan Park is a unique beauty spread over 472 thousand square meters. It is a place where you can relax under the trees, breathe the fresh air, and have a good time with the Bosphorus view and the smell of the sea.

  It was given as a gift to Feridun Bey, one of his gunners, by the Grand Vizier Sokullu Mehmet Pasha during the Ottoman period. For this reason, it was called Feridun Gardens at first. Then while IV. Murat was coming from the Iran expedition, he liked that Emir Güne Khan gave the besieged city of Yerevan and the castle without a war, and gave the park to Emir Güne Han as a gift. It takes its name from Tahmasb Kulu Han, the son of Emir Güne Han.

WHERE IS EMIRGAN PARK? HOW TO GO?

  Emirgan Park is located in Sarıyer district of Istanbul.

  If you want to use the bus, you should take one of the buses numbered 22, 25E, 40T, 42T that goes along the coast from Eminönü, Kuruçeşme, Arnavutköy, Bebek or Beşiktaş and get off at the Emirgan stop. After walking a little, you can reach the park. If you want to come from Kadıköy or Üsküdar, you can come to Beşiktaş by ferry and take the buses that go to Sarıyer from there. Apart from these, it is possible to come with your own private vehicle.

WHAT CAN BE DONE IN EMIRGAN PARK?

  When you enter the park, there is an area with benches where you can have a picnic and have a good time. There are also playgrounds for children in the picnic area.

  When you come to the park, you can take a walk with the fresh air and the Bosphorus view. You can sit and relax in the big square inside. There is a lake in the middle of the square. You can watch the ducks swimming on the lake. There are also many small waterfalls added later around the lake. The surrounding of the lake is covered with various and colorful tulips. Even in April, Tulip Festivals are held here. A total of 2.8 million tulips of 190 species are exhibited in Tulip Festivals. Many music groups also perform during the festival. At the same time, the lake and its surroundings are the places where many Yeşilçam movies were shot. Many exterior shots are taken on the wooden bridge over the lake.

  There are three pavilions in Emirgan Park. One of them is the Yellow Pavilion. The Yellow Kiosk was built by Khedive Ismail Pasha in 1878. It is definitely one of the places you should go with its unique architecture and birdhouse-like structure. Another mansion is Pink Mansion. The Pink Mansion was built in 1878 during the reign of the Egyptian Khedive Abbas Hilmi Pasha. Our last mansion is White Pavilion. The variety of tulips and flowers in the garden of White Pavilion almost reminds of botanical gardens. There are restaurants in all 3 mansions. It is one of the most preferred places especially for breakfast.

BREAKFAST FEES IN EMIRGAN PARK:

  Yellow Mansion serves breakfast between 09:00 and 13:00. Breakfast fee is 65 TL per person.

  0-5 years old is free.

  The Pink Mansion and the White Mansion serve breakfast between 09:00 and 14:00. The price per person is 65 TL.

VISITING HOURS FOR EMIRGAN PARK:

  Emirgan Park is open to visitors between 7 am and 11 pm. The kiosks inside open at 9 am and close at 11 pm.

EMIRGAN PARK ENTRANCE FEE:

   Entrance of  Emirgan Park is free, but a parking fee of 17 TL is charged for those who come by private car.
