As one of the most touristic cities in Turkey, Antalya is home to many natural heritages. In addition to its beaches, ancient cities and museums, Antalya has many canyons waiting to be discovered.

Sapaderesi Canyon

Sapaderesi Canyon is among the most beautiful canyons of Antalya. This karst canyon in Alanya district has remained intact among the Toros Mountains. The temperature decreases as you walk through the canyon, the waterfall is reached with a cool environment. Many natural pools were formed on the sides of the wooden road built along the canyon. These small pools can be a good option to cool off and take a break. It is also another option to sit and relax with a drink in the shade of the trees in the canyon, where businesses such as cafes and restaurants are located.

Köprülü Canyon National Park

Köprülü Canyon National Park, which is one of the most important rafting areas in Turkey, is in the Manavgat district of Antalya. Due to the high flow of the river, this is one of the most convenient routes for water sports. The historical Olukköprü, located in the canyon, was built on the Köprüçay River, which runs through the middle of the valley. Köprülü Canyon, one of the longest canyons in Turkey, also carries a historical importance with its proximity to the ancient city of Selge. Historical artifacts and archaeological remains from the Roman period are exhibited in the ancient city, located to the west of the Köprüçay River that runs along the canyon.

Göynük Canyon

Göynük Canyon, located around Göynük Stream in Kemer district, is among the most popular sightseeing spots in Antalya. The canyon, which is a good option for nature sports lovers, is located on the Likya Way, which is known as one of the longest walking paths in the world. An artificial pond welcomes the visitors at the entrance of the canyon. A smooth road has been built for walking along the canyon. During the walk, you can cross the bridges and enjoy the pond and nature views. At the end of a 3-kilometer road, the most beautiful area of the canyon, the natural pool, is reached. It is possible to swim and raft in the ponds in the canyon. One of the interesting features of the canyon is that 11 different species of reptiles live in the region. It is very likely that you will encounter various colorful reptiles while walking through the canyon.

Oymapınar Dam

Oymapınar Dam, known as Green Canyon, is located in Manavgat district. The dam has become a touristic spot that you can visit with boat tours. The water of the lake is so clean and clear that it is also known as the emerald lake because of its lush color. It is possible to take swimming breaks and fish in this lake during the tour. Green Canyon is home to the Fish Owl, which lives in only three regions of the world. It is possible to come across this precious animal, which is endangered, among the greenery while walking in the canyon. It is a route worth seeing for those who want to enjoy nature, greenery and pine forests.

Güver Cliff Canyon

Güver Cliff Canyon is located within the Düzler Pine National Park, very close to the center of Antalya. It is thought that it took its present appearance in 1 million years by water eroding the rocks and karst formations. It is not possible to walk this steep canyon, which is 2 kilometers long, but the view of the valley can be watched from the observation terrace above. There is no business in the canyon, but you can have a picnic at one of the many viewing points on the edge of the cliff. The most interesting thing in the canyon is the free roam of deer. The canyon, which draws attention with its rich vegetation, creates a very suitable area for nature photography. Not as popular as other canyons and not known to many, this quiet canyon is one of the frequent destinations for campers.
