Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Specialist

He was born in Ordu in 1981. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ordu. He completed his medical education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine between 1999-2006. He completed his General Surgery residency at İzmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital in 2006-2011 and became a General Surgery specialist. He worked at İzmir Karşıyaka State Hospital between February 2012 and June 2014. He worked at İzmir Private Medifema Hospital between June 2014 and June 2018. Since July 2018, he established the Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Clinic in İzmir Karşıyaka and is still working there.

Performing the first laparoscopic Roux en-y gastric bypass operation in Turkey during his General Surgery residency, Dr. Metin Karadeniz worked with Mehmet Görgün. The first at beginning of bariatric surgery was in these years. He started to work at İzmir Karşıyaka State Hospital as a General Surgery specialist and performed the first bariatric surgery operation in May 2012 after creating the necessary infrastructure. He has performed more than 3000 successful operations (tube stomach, gastric bypass, SADI-S and transit bipartition). He brought his professional development to the highest level with the courses and congresses he attended. In May 2013 in Bruges, the number one name of bariatric surgery in Europe, with Dr. Bruno Dillemans and October 2014 in Bucharest, He had the opportunity to work with Catalin Copaescu.
