Op. Dr. Mehtap ERTÜRK
She started her general surgery specialization at Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital in 2007
and worked mainly in oncological surgery and breast diseases clinic.
In 2013, she defended her thesis titled “The role of Galectin-3 as a biomarker in colon cancer” and
received her specialty in general surgery in 2015.
After completing her compulsory service in Silopi district of Şırnak between 2013 and 2015, she
returned to Istanbul and worked at Esenler Medipol University Hospital for 1 year in 2015, and then
started to work at Acıbadem Beylikdüzü Medical Center in 2016.
Ertürk, who started to work at Private Reyap Istanbul Hospital in 2017, received the title of Assistant
Professor from Rumeli University in the same year.
She still continues her scientific and academic studies and started working privately in 2018. She is
married and mother of two boys.
