He graduated from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 1999. He completed his specialty
training in the General Surgery Clinic of the same University in June 2005. In 2008, Asst. Associate
Professor Dr. succeeded in the exam held by the Interuniversity Board in 2012 and became Associate
Professor Dr. and got the title.

After his specialization, he directed himself to innovations in minimally invasive surgery
(laparoscopy). He received advanced laparoscopic surgery training at Singapore National University
Hospital in 2005. He received advanced laparoscopic colon surgery training in Strasbourg/France
Hopitaux Hospital in October 2006, laparoscopic stomach surgery in Hamburg/Germany in 2008, and
laparoscopic gastric surgery training in Frankfurt/Germany in 2010. He performed gallbladder,
hernia, large intestine, adrenal gland and kidney transplant donor operations for the first time in the
General Surgery clinic by using the laparoscopic (SILS) method through a single incision (hole) and
made laparoscopic surgical interventions widespread.

He is interested in the laparoscopic surgical treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, morbid obesity
and metabolic diseases (Type II Diabetes Mellitus). He is still working as a lecturer at Akdeniz
University Faculty of Medicine, General Surgery Clinic.
